2006 was quite a hot summer for many in North America, a time when even sitting outside in a shaded area may have been difficult for those who found the heat too much. On days with no breeze, there may be no escape from the heat's intensity even outside the house.
Indoors, we are more used to the idea of a cooling fan as well as air conditioning. But outdoors? Surely we have to rely on the breeze of nature to cool us down, not the artificial air flow of a standing or ceiling fan?
