Space Saving Hugger Ceiling Fans For Low Ceilings - Emerson, Monte Carlo and Minka Aire
For people whose homes have low ceilings, many of the traditional low hung ceiling fans are just a bit too low for comfort, either for the taller person, or the playful who might be swinging an arm for one reason or another. Also, a disproportionately low fan can upset the balance of a room's design, and look hopelessly out of place. This is where flush mount or hugger ceiling fans come in very useful indeed.
Improvements in design and structure over the years have made it more possible to have a powerful fan motor, efficient blade design, and an effective cooling breeze, while keeping the entire fan snug to the ceiling. These advances have been a boon to the modern home where, in an attempt to keep down soaring housebuilding costs and conserve heat in the winter, ceilings have been lowered compared to the grand old homes of yesteryear.
